DESCRIPTION:Come learn all about how sugar is made at the 32nd Annual Ke
 nt Plantation House Sugar Day Festival on Saturday\, November 8\, 2025\,
  from 9 AM - 4 PM.  Our reproduction 1840's sugar mill will be fired up
 \, and we'll be making some delicious syrup and sugar!  There will be l
 ive period music\, tours of Kent House\, plenty of demonstrations of old
 -time trades including blacksmithing\, corn grinding\, wood carving and 
 more.  There will also be local vendors selling handmade food and arts 
 &amp\; crafts items\, plus plenty of interesting children's activities i
 ncluding a petting zoo!!  You do not want to miss this fun\, family fri
 endly festival at Kent Plantation House\, 3601 Bayou Rapides Road\, Alex
 andria\, LA.  Admission is $5 per person.  Children 3 and under are fr
 ee.  Come support our mission to preserve Central Louisiana's history a
 nd culture.
