SUMMARY:Kent Plantation House "The Enslaved Experience in Cenla: Living 
 Life in Bondage"
DESCRIPTION:A tour of Kent House exclusively given each Saturday during 
 Black History Month focusing on the experience of the enslaved people of
  Central Louisiana and at Kent House.  The tours will include the main 
 house and selected cabins that were used by the enslaved people as well 
 as the marker dedicated there to the enslaved families.  The tour will 
 be limited to 15 tour guests at regular tour prices (Adults - $12\, Mili
 tary/Seniors - $10\, Children ages 6-12 - $4\, and Children under age 6 
 - Free).  Tours are as follows:\n\nSaturday\, 2/3/24 @ 1 PM\, Saturday\
 , 2/10/24 @ 6 PM (Candlelight Tour)\, Saturday\, 2/17/24 @ 1 PM and Satu
 rday\, 2/24/24 @ 1 PM.\n\nAdvance reservations are required on a first c
 ome\, first served basis beginning at 9 AM on Thursday\, February 1\, 20
 24.  Call 318-487-5998 for reservations or for more details.  Our regu
 lar house tours will continue to be held at 9 AM\, 11 AM\, 1 PM and 3 PM
  daily\, Monday through Saturday.\n\nThis unique and once in a lifetime 
 experience will occur only during the month of February.  Everyone shou
 ld better understand more about the living conditions of the former ensl
 aved people of our community and the South.
