Kappa Sigma Pi-Alpha at Louisiana State University of Alexandria is proud to partner with LSUA, Fort Polk, and the Louisiana National Guard, to host a large-scale Military 5K and Community Patriot Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 6:30 AM to 11:20 AM on LSUA’s campus. This high-energy, family-friendly event will bring together students, veterans, military families, and the entire Central Louisiana community for a morning of patriotism, fitness, and support for our nation’s heroes. The event will feature a professionally organized 5K race, local vendors, and a Louisiana National Guard Kid Zone for families. Attendees will also experience an exciting military flyover with aircraft landing, a live military K-9 demonstration, and a special ceremony featuring LSUA Chancellor Dr. Paul Coreil and Colonel Robicheaux. The first 200 registered runners will receive free event t-shirts and commemorative finisher medals. A portion of proceeds and awareness from the event will support the Wounded Warrior Project and honor those who have served our country. This will be one of the largest community and military appreciation events in Central Louisiana this spring. All ages are encouraged to attend and participate.
