Hello

My name is Scott Marcelle. I’m a Central Louisiana comedian and Army veteran.

On August 21st, we’re bringing comedians from across Louisiana together for a comedy showcase representing the North, South, East, West, and Central Louisiana.

But before the main show at 9 PM, we’re looking for Cenla’s Funniest.

Local comedians will step on stage, bring their best material, and compete for a cash prize, winner determined by the audience. The goal is to give local comedians a stage while bringing different styles of Louisiana comedy together in one room.

What makes this especially important to me is that we’re trying to prove that comedy can have a home here in Central Louisiana. Upper Third Street is providing the venue, I’m handling the entertainment, and now we need the community to show up and support it.

I’m not just trying to promote one comedy show. I’m trying to see if Cenla is ready to support a comedy scene.
