SUMMARY:One Pint at a Time-Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmake
rs presented by the Arts Council of Central Louisiana
DESCRIPTION:The Arts Council of Central Louisiana is pleased to announce
the return of our Independent Film Series. Join us for a screening of O
ne Pint as a Time\, first of 6 films in the Southern Circuit Tour. Date:
  Monday\, September 11th at 7:00 PM. Kress Theatre 1102 3rd St. Alexandr
ia\, LA Filmmaker Aaron Hosé will be on hand and hold a Q &amp\; A afte
r the screening. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for students. Ticke
ts can be purchased at louisiana-arts.org\, by calling (318) 484-4474 or
at the door. About the film: Craft beer generates tens of billions of d
ollars annually for the US economy. Despite beer’s Egyptian and Africa
n heritage\, these traditions have been mostly forgotten and are rarely
found in American brewing culture. Today\, Black owned breweries make up
less than 1% of the nearly 9\,000 breweries in operation. Eager to shif
t the historical perception of who makes and drinks beer\, Black brewers
\, brand owners and influencers across the country are reshaping the cra
ft beer industry and the future of America’s favorite adult beverage.
One Pint at a Time premiered in October of 2021 and has since received:
 • 100+ official selections to film festivals (plus special screenings
 at breweries\, conferences\, and universities) • A combination of 50+
awards\, special honors (opening/closing film)\, nominations and special
mentions • Exposure in 9 countries across North\, Central and South A
 merica\, Europe\, and Africa.
