Come learn all about how sugar is made at the 32nd Annual Kent Plantation House Sugar Day Festival on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9 AM – 4 PM.  Our reproduction 1840’s sugar mill will be fired up, and we’ll be making some delicious syrup and sugar!  There will be live period music, tours of Kent House, plenty of demonstrations of old-time trades including blacksmithing, corn grinding, wood carving and more.  There will also be local vendors selling handmade food and arts & crafts items, plus plenty of interesting children’s activities including a petting zoo!!  You do not want to miss this fun, family friendly festival at Kent Plantation House, 3601 Bayou Rapides Road, Alexandria, LA.  Admission is $5 per person.  Children 3 and under are free.  Come support our mission to preserve Central Louisiana’s history and culture.
